EFI fault still there
Discussion
I've changed the fusebox, the relay, the imobiliser has been bypassed to check if this was the problem and it's gone again, just suddenly cut out, this time though I've had EFI fault come up on the dash and the rev counter jumping around showing lots of different revs even though the car isn't running, has anyone got any idea?, I'm about to beat the f

Have you checked the wiring/connections to the fuel pump?
Have you had it plugged into the diagnostic software to check all the I/O's to the module?
Re. the revs jumping about, have you checked the crank sensor for tightness/debris/integrity of connector?
Have you checked the main engine loom earth is tight (located just back from the CPS)?
Have you checked the ECU connector for damage/water ingress?
From what you've said, I take it the car stops fairly frequently, and isn't one of these faults that takes days to manifest itself, so hopefully it should be something fairly obvious when you do find it.
Whereabouts are you?

I've checked the connections to the fuel pump and all fine, the AA man checked them again and fine, he said there was an issue with power at the fusebox end, that the ECU wasn't giving power to the fuel pump, he has suggested the crankshaft sensor and the ECU itself to investigate, could anyone let me know where the crankshaft sensor is?, also when the revs were jumping about on the pod display the engine wasn't even running at all.
It can stop regularly or it can be fine for days at a time, the worst part is thinking it's cured only for it to cut out again!.
Also thanks very much to the fellow Tuscan owner who was in his Volvo for stopping to check if he could help.
