I just noticed this this afternoon yikes

I have no idea how long it has been like this, it may have been in this state for the two years since I've had the car, just never looked upwards at the edge of the service bonnet before. Then again it may just have started.

How do I go about repairing it? I have come up with two ideas, though I have never worked with fibreglass - which may be evident!

1 - An external "bandage". This wouldn't show on the outside unless you looked down the gap between wing and service bonnet, but wouldn't be very elegant.
2 - Remove service bonnet and turn upside down, drill a small hole above the level of the crack and inject resin into the hole to fill up the void that I assume is there.

As I've said I have never worked with fibreglass before so comments on the viability or otherwise of the above ideas would be welcomed.
