after market A/C, how much would it be?

wondering if anyone knows what the price would be for an after market A/C for a Tuscan.

The A/C on my Tuscan is supposed to be working well for TVR standards, but even when at max, its only good enough to make it bearable in the car on the very warm days.

Not sure if anyone else's A/C works better, but in one of my mate's Chimaera doesn't even make a difference if its on or off.

I admit that it is good to have. But if I had to pay to have it installed, I probably would not pay that much money for it..

on my Cerb it is working perfectly.
i must say that i am not really into the cabrio or targa stuff, so that is why i think i need an A/C
i saw a very nice Tuscan, but no A/C... too bad, really too bad

Interesting to hear that it works so well. I will make sure to have it checked out. During the hot days of 2 weeks ago, I had to have the A/C on full and at the coldest setting in order for it to make it bearable in the car.. Maybe I need to have the gas topped up.

On the convertible dash you can see the temperature of the A/C cooled air and mine is between 4 & 5 Deg.C, I was also surprised/pleased that it works so well after some of the comments on TVR's with A/C.

I've got AC on my and it's never been that good. When the outside temp is above 20degrees the aircon can't cope.

Plus after 3 years of complaining at every service the AC is still not fixed and drops the idle speed too low.

More hassle than it's worth ?

I'm sure it was a 2k option originally when my car was new.

Mine works well, although in this country it's not used that much. Last year in France when the temp got above 40 degrees I was very happy to have it.

No reason it should not work when fitted.

Spent loads of time on mine and result is;

20 degs outside today
A/C cold air temp will go as low as 2degC

In Belgium with 36DegC outside, s low as 16degC cold airtemp inside.

Just had mine regassed at the local Kwikfit as it was getting a bit warmer than it should be. Works much better now and is back to how it was when I first had it re-gassed 3 years ago. Even had condensation forming on the outside of the windscreen where the A/C vents blow on it.

Mine was doing the same the other day 4 mist patches on the screen and today i closed the screen vents and opened the footwell vent my right leg was freezing

That, and the fact that the vent area isn't sufficient for the volume of airflow that the blower is capable of delivering. I've seen some Tuscans with extra vents facing you in the dash. You can actually put vents anywhere in the dash as the whole thing is a plenum for the ventilation.

Also, as there's no ventilation recirculation circuit, it's always sucking in hot air from outside rather than recyling about 60% like normal climate control systems do.
