Guys, replacing the alternator but didn't take note of which terminal the little black cable goes on. Its a new unit, I see a D+ next to one and W next to the other. Alternatively if someone can tell me whether it's the one next to the main red cable or the other one on the far side from the red cable?

Sorry for the stupidity!

Please someone, let me know which is the correct terminal! I've been without my baby for over 2 months and the alternator is the only thing stopping me from having my first drive this summer!

PLEASE HELP!!!

If its got the 100Amp alternator its the connector nearest the 12V main connector (ie nearest the one that goes to 100amp fuse) or it is on my T350 (noted as I just swapped it out) . Ps Assuming you have a a Tuscan Speed 6, not a classic. HTH

Freddie, thank you kindly, you are both a gentleman and a scholar. Was getting worried I'd have to go another night without being able to complete fitment and take her out!

Cheers,
Nick

Hope you tightened the belt up with the strength of ten tigers - it needs to be bl**dy tight with that tiny pulley to avoid squeaks!

Yeah, got a bit of a squeak when I started her up. Will get back inside and see if I can tighten it a bit more!

Thanks to everyone for their help, it was unbelievably nice to be able to take her for a spin last night - until a small rain shower occurred, didn't fancy taking any risks on a greasy surface!

Cheers,
Nick

Mine squeaks too but only on start up I'm not massively worried as my old T350c did the same both pre and post service ! :-/ so must be one of those TADTS things.
Ps I would worry if it did all the time and it wasnt charging the battery because of it. I also wouldn't want to overload the alternator bearings or belt drive shaft bearings as I think the issue of difficulty in getting tension is more of a design "feature". All just IMHO and others may have wiser words than mine.
