Does anyone know this car ?

Been lurking for a while looking for something that jumps out at me, orginally wanted a Tuscan 2 soft top but was put off a little with the price expectations, but have now spotted this

Which appear to meet both my original requirements.

I have arranged to view tomorrow, but having looked at the Convertible register it appears to have been for sale previously at Dream Machines at a much lower price, which is a little odd unless these are appreciating assests ! which I some how doubt.

Does anyone know this car and or comment to the above ?

Would love to know some history before my visit.

I think that it was this one I considered last year but cant remember who was selling it.
When I was looking, there were a number of Convertible Tuscans ranging from 24k to 36k but if you took away the 2 that were around 24 k the next cheepest was 30k.

Of the 2 lower priced cars, one was, I think, the one one your looking at and the second, which I bought, was a 2006 dark blue. Colour wasnt an issue it was just that I was looking for as new as possible.

At the time, I wondered why they were priced so low and did a little research. What I found was that many Targa top Tuscans were advertised as convertibles. When I averaged the prices of the newest 2005 and 06 of all the Tuscans advertised as Convertibles I was looking at about 25k. If I averaged 'real' convertibles I was above 30k. I didnt pay too much attention to 'S' or non 'S' but noted that generally the 'S' models were more expensive.
Anyway, I concluded that these 2 had been priced incorrectly. That the guy I was buying from down in London had not paid enough attention when he was checking "convertible" prices and so had set at an incorrctly too low price.
This provided me with sufficient feel good factor that I snatched his hand of before he could finish saying " and you need to warm the engine properly before......."
I was offered 28k for it a couple of months ago so could have had a healthy profit on my 24k and with 12 months and 10k miles added on the clock. Along with the comments made about the price I paid, yes, think that my conclusion was pretty accurate.
I think the price you are looking at is not bad at all especially if you can get some sort of warranttee.

I think they are an absolutely lovely car.
Friends wife upset him recently by describing my Tuscan as the best looking TVR she has ever seen.
