Yup decat is the other option although for me was too raspy and a pain at MOT time.

well as you are new you need some spacers so you can enjoy the car without feeling that it is a bit more twitchy than you thought it would be......

Picked it up, drove it back from Newcastle, all good. Never been so happy,nervous,excited and thrilled in my life. 300 miles on the first day, roof off and smiling......

Spacers need to be fitted, the 18" combination certainly keeps you on your toes, sticking window fixed handbrake button fixed, and all working well. Got to check out that auxiliary charging socket from the sticky, and a few other jobs. Need to give it the once over and check everything is where it should be, stick down all the bits of carpet, etc Give it a good clean, check the fluids, fit some clear lenses, spoilers and splitters, and a quick service. First job is to enjoy it while the sun is still shinning and then whip the bonnet off over the winter to do all the above. Fit spacers is the first job, but my knob is already cool......

Good man...and so it starts Always interesting to hear what you felt about the first drive compared to previous cars.
Sounds like you've done the research and happy to put it into practice, although I suggest the first job is the geo/tyre pressure and then the spacers when you are happy everything else is spot on.
Always good to read about a man with a cool knob!
