I get lots of radio interference when the engine is running. Its fine when its off. Any advice on how to sort it? There is no interference when playing cd's

Nick, I have the same issue. I think there's a shielded antenna available somewhere. Would be good to hear from people who've managed to fix this. I'm getting pretty bored of my limited cd selection!

Did you check the alternator is well grounded? There is a little resistor wired with an eyelet coming off the top of the alternator.

The problem with the Mk1 Tuscans is that the aerial is in one of the front wings, which is prone to interference. Carl Baker of Car & Bike Installations (widely regarded the expert for stereos and alarms in TVRs) should be able to help you. He's based near Petersfield in Hampshire - see here for contact details.

I have spoken to Carl previously about the alarm, but thanks for the link. He is miles away!

Do you know where in the wing the aerial is?

On mine, the aerial is located in the nearside wing.
