I am having problems with my passenger door ECU.

There seemed to be a fault with the ECU causing the solenoid not to work on the LH door and boot and the window working intermittantly, this was cured by swapping them over and changing the fuse. I therefore bought a second hand one and changed the fuse again which seemed fine for a week.

Today the other original ECU on the RH door started playing up with the door opening with the window up and then when I got the window to drop it wouldn't go up when I closed the door or reset the alarm. I swapped the ECU again and now the LH window will drop intermittantly but the solenoid on the LH door and boot won't fire. I changed the fuse again and it worked on the LH door and boot for one push. Now nothing even when I change the ECU over and the fuse. The RH side with the second hand ECU seems fine. Any ideas?

I'm suffering with the same problem, had my passenger side Control Unit repaired then the drivers side started to play up, have switched them over for the time being and will get it repaired at the end of the month. Not had any trouble with the fuses though.

Nice to know I'm not alone winkDid your solenoids stop firing and were they fixed simply by fitting the refurbished ECU.
Who did you get to repair your ECU and what did it cost, I seem to be going through them at a rate of knots.

The first symptoms was the window not working then the door wouldn't pop open, I took my car in for a service at Str8Six and they sent it away, don't know where but they will do the same next time (will find out for you). It's a pain in the backside but don't have many passengers so will just live with it for a couple of weeks. Can always use the red pull handle if needed.

Does you boot open as the LH ECU works the boot solenoid, mine doesn't work?

Yes, my boot does still work. My fault is intermittent on the door and window only. I did remove the ECU the other day whilst the roof was off and like an idiot did not open the boot first. I have just had the boot solenoid replaced so it looks like I am slowly going through ALL the electrical units one by one. Mind you, the car is now 9 years old and has 55k on the clock. smile
