Roof Seal??

Just wondered how well the roof seals around the targa section as well as the rear window. I am considering a Tuscan but for the next few months anyway the car would have to live on my drive. Having had a couple of previosu TVR's as well as a VX220, I have found them to be a mixed bag regarding how well the hoods seal. Is this still an issue with the Tuscan or would it realistically require a cover or a garage to keep it bone dry inside? Many thanks.

Mine has never leaked, anywhere. It is mostly under cover though.

Mine lives outside and has for the 7.5 years I've had it. It can drip in a tiny bit from the front corner of the drivers side window, where it meets the roof, if it rains really hard. It's not a major issue and I just don't leave anything in the driver's door pocket.

Re-sealing the windscreen has cut the problem by more than half, but I couldn't keep it outside for any length of time without a cover.

Be ok outside provided you invest in a Leven cover, not sure if the new operators of the business are still stocking them. Would be my first call.

My Tuscan (a 2003) only recently started to leak slightly in one particular place by the front of each window, and only when driving in the very very heavy rain – sounds the same as Basil Brush. This was fixed by Str8Six fitting new door seals all round. Dry as a bone now, as it was for most of its life. The rear roof seal has never, and should never leak – same goes for the roof.

I do however carry a good quality fitted Tuscan cover in the boot. This is for when I am working away from home (and garage) and need to leave in a hotel carpark. Its a nightmare trying to defrost a Tuscan and get access on a freezing cold winters morning so a good cover (or Leven Half Cover as previously mentioned) is perfect.
