Having panic attacks about not having my Mk1 S if I sell her

I haven't been as vocal as others on these forums but I have been an avid reader ever since I bought my baby, my darling, my partner in crime: my black Mk1 Tuscan S over 4 years ago. But alas, I have to look at letting her go to free up funds due to, well, kicking the naughty ex out a while back and taking over all the bills which are now starting to bite.
But I am getting the shakes. I'm really not kidding. I really don't think I can do it. I'm taking it to a reputable TVR dealer on Saturday for them to have a look at it. But we have been through a lot. I have never been closer to a car nearly as much as her.
So, the question is... should I get rid of the... ...
House or Tusc!??!?!

Sold my Tuscan s convert back in oct, (brought from new) have not sleept well since, so i have just brought it back and pick it up in 2 weeks. I have had 3 tuscans and there is NO other car that will come close.
If you can, keep the car, as when it is gone you will be heart broken....

history lesson .
Had a Lancia delta evo 2 and a very very nice modifed 5 litre TVR chimp many years ago both weekend toys .
Neither came out to play much, but after a bad day at work i could open up the garage turn the lights on and sit there looking at them both ,then decide which to drive .
my everyday car was a ford estate .
Now when i decided once in i am going for a drive i always got excited and nervous at the same time when it was the tvr's turn (some of my friends called it the brown trouser car) i never fully tamed her which was part of the fun .
Where as the lancia was the reverse .
Then my wife decided WE sould get rid of the cars as its a waste of money as i dont use them much , so i listened to her and took over a year to sell them both , then a year later my wife had some naughty fun with her boss for a year or so .
Now many years later i am not with my ex and had to sell the house as part of the split , some of the money went into my business and the other was to buy a supercharger for my M3 and lastly to buy a lovely shiny Tuscan (which i have always wanted since the day they came out), so i split with the wife / sold the house and then bought another TVR .
house has come and gone .
wife has come and gone .
Tvr has come and gone and come back again
does that help you
lets face it how many good Tuscans are left now , there are a damm sight more houses and women out there , and jesus come on man the women love the tuscan too

I have just dropped her off at the TVR/Lotus dealer for them to sell it. I am now sitting in the cafe opposite wondering what I have just done... I can still get her back though. I am going to give it a month. They must have thought me a bit soppy walking away and looking back to her over and over.

Ouch! Thanks for this. It has confirmed my initial thought of sell up and regroup, and then buy again. Maybe even the same one (like TOV!E) assuming she was for sale, not wrecked or turned into a modded monster.history lesson

It would be great if someone on here bought her so I could be reassured that she would get the love and attention she deserves.

I passed by Castle sales yesterday. I think I saw your car there. Get her back! 
She looks very good.
Ian works up at the Parsonage Farm office now I believe. Very time I've rung him to discuss open day details, that's the number I use.

Why did you put it with a dealer rather than trying to sell it on here first?

I am looking for a black/black + A/C one
Alas, my dad and I put a deposit down ChumleyUK's lovely S (being marketed by Castle Stansted last week), and we both took a day's holiday from work to arrange agreement on our p/ex Chimaera, only to be told a few days later that she was not for sale!!!! Lesson learned there. But, surely if Castle wish to market someone's car (to make a nice little margin with little or no outlay), they need to get the seller to offically sign it over first to save eveyone's time/frustration?

i must say, i am just hearing good things about Castle. Guess this must have been a one off...but sorry to hear so
