Changed my Chimaera for Tuscan

I went from 5litre Chimaera to tuscan .
The first drive home from old onwers house the tuscan felt too tame and dare i say it slow .
But after many drives it all made sense the perfect balance of enough power with an easier to drive car then the torquey chimaera which could be driven at all different paces with more enjoyment .

haha! I found the same when I first drove my T350 home. Really took a week or two to get used to the different power delivery compared to my old Chim. The Chim could accelerate in any gear at any speed, whereas the T350 was more revvy and often needed to go down a gear... and then it flew!The first drive home from old onwers house the tuscan felt too tame and dare i say it slow .

Just wait until the summer and the roads are warm and dry, the pace of these Tuscans when you squeeze every last single rpm out of the Speed 6 will amaze you. I loved my Griff and Chimaera, but never had that "oh my god, i'm going to die..." feeling I get with the Tuscan when it hits 7k rpm. Like driving down the face of a cliff

A week later and I'm still grinning, went throught the two M25 tunnels (not Dartford crossing) the other day, dropped a gear and floored it, sounded far better than the Chimaera, more of a growl than the roar of the V8.
Now thinking of sleeving the standard cans as described on mytuscan.co.uk, anyone done this, and if so, what are your thoughts?

Having made the jump from owning Chimaeras for 14 years to a Tuscan II S last year, I can say that they are very different cars. Both fantastic cars! Love the rasp and endless pull of the s6, but I still miss the low down rumble of the v8.

I saw the colour in the advert and it's one of the most stunning Tuscans i've seen in a long time!
I'm currently looking at making the same swap Going to take a look at a couple in the next week or so.
It's interesting that the general feedback is that the speed6 cars feel that they lack a bit of low down grunt, is that really the case? Or is just a case of the perception because they respond so well to higher revs?
I really enjoy the slight laziness and ability to pull away in any gear, but the Chim is missing that all out mental acceleration that the exhaust noise suggests is happening.

That's what people told me before I drove one, and I has a Honda S2000 before the Chim which you really had to work hard, and that's what I was expecting before I took my tuscan out. I was really surprised that it picked up so well, and you only have to drop a gear if you want instant acceleration, the power is fantastic. I've only driven my sp6 and it's an 'S', so I can't comment on other sp6's. I certainly wouldn't be put off, try one! I went from a 400HC to a S6 Red Rose and the difference is astounding. I know the HC didn't have the same low down torque as the standard engine which IMHO made it better to drive. The difference with the S6 is that you all of a sudden get this massive torque higher up the rev range. This can make it a bit unpleasant in the wet when you think your getting the traction to boot it and all of a sudden lets go, but it does feel better and smoother than the RV8 under normal driving.
