Well the good times have to end some time right?

It was all going so well, faultless start ups car running just right until....
Started the car up struggled to start (was cold and battery was a bit low), as she fired there was a squeel not unlike a loose fan belt. Now my heater dosnt work at all no air blowing what so ever, air con clicks when you press the button but still no air coming out.
Any ideas? Are the heaters belt driven? Or something else

Not sure but might not be connected.
Noise may have been from the alternator trying to cope with the extra load from the low battery, heater is electric (and is not belt driven to the best of my knowledge), but it could be a control box issue. Belt on the ac compressor?
Did it charge up ok? Do the lights come on the switches? I think there was a similar problem a while back with a ph car, tried the search?

Lucky you I purchased mine in march/april last year engine had been rebuilt etc 30,000 miles
Parts required so far:_
Engine required rebuild at TVR power
New stepper motor 2 months later at tvr power
Clutch slave cylinder replaced in November and told cats are breaking up
But I still love it, My wife hates the bills her Mini cooper S works convertible has required an oil change in the same time

I had a very similar problem but with two of the pins, i opened up the box to find that everything else was fine. The only problem was that the loose connection between the pin and socket causes arcing and burns the pins out.
I fixed mine by cleaning up the pins and soldering on a new cable directly to the pin and joining it back into the loom a bit further up. I had to cut a bit of the female connector away but this was all burnt anyway. It doesn't look that pretty but works a treat and nobody see's it.
Works a treat and no cost of refurbing a control box.

Passanger foot well.
You will have the carpet going up at the end (where the sole of their feet would be) go to the top left of this and pull it down. You will then see a black box tucked up in the chassis rail by the emergancy door open pull thing.
Luckly the sticky pad holding mine in place got hot and melted shortly after I got the car causing the ecu to fall off and end up in the foot well, so knew where it was after

Right the ECU pin has been cleaned up and is re-soldered, however the blower still does nothing. I have had a good look at the connector on the loom and the earth looks quite black. Whats the best way to clean this out? Dont fancy sticking metal bits up it whilst its still connected to the battery lol.
Any one got any photos/tips on how to get to the blower itself as I am thinking it might have seezed up causing the earth to short.
Another thing I just thought of (whilst typing this) is if the ECU connection shorted would the fuse blow? Anyone got a fuse diagram so that I can check it? Would be a nice simple fix if so
