Thanks for the welcome. Much appreciated.

Any chance of some technical info?

I got hold of a mk2 escort exhaust. Any tips on how to go about fitting it?

Usually it requires some cutting and rewelding.
Often the down pipe needs shortening otherwise it makes the exhaust hang low. The centre section usually needs shortening. The rear section (depending on whether it is the saloon or estate version)may or may not fit unmodified. The best way to check how much needs taking out of the centre section is to sort out the down pipe and temporarily fit the rear section. Then you should know how much needs taking off the centre section.

Hope this helps.

if you can manage it, route the exhaust to exit on the drivers side, forward of the back wheel.
rear exit will become uncomfortable on a trip if you have the top on, as like with most small old vans you will end up with fumes in the car

i would suggest putting front pipe on then rear pipe over the axle and then cutting middle section till it fits
or fit front pipe a silencer then straight out the side
exacctly as mine is
noisy but i like it that way
mines a pinto - cortina down pipe cut down - middle box and a right angle joint off front pipe loud not pretty but it works
