Regional Monthly Meetings
Discussion
One of the main reasons for organising a couple of outings this coming bank holiday weekend is to keep people interested in the social side of belonging to the JOC.
With just a couple of major events left this year our thoughts are already turning to other ways to meet up for a good old natter during the winter months.
At the beginning of the year myself and Alan organised a couple of pub meets which werent that well attended , possibly due to location , though in the case of the second one there were 5 members much closer to the venue than we were!
If you are interested in getting together give us an idea of the kind of distance you would be prepared to travel from your local area and lets see what we can organise around the country to suit you.
With the passing of each show we have had more membership enquiries , new vehicles turn up , and a much higher level of interest in the club than say 6 months ago , it would be great to think that by Stoneleigh next May we can regularly get a turn out of 20 vehicles.
Cheers

I think monthly meetings may well work in densly populated areas of the country.
However in the SW this may be a problem.
1. Define South West Region. For many purposes it starts either Reading or Swindon and covers - Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Avon, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.
2. The distances to be travelled by some members (including myself) would be in three figures each way.
That said, I would think at least one, maybe two winter SW meets should be possible. I only know the geography of where members live from their profiles but I think Aquasigns would be in the most convenient place to organise a meeting.
I am all in favour and by hook or by crook Boris will be at Exeter.
