Nearly at the point of adding Yellow peril to the For Sale column - but no, I got brakes again! no master cylinder to suit the Jago, what the hell - alter the Jago to make a Girling cylinder meant for something else to fit????
All four now locking up (if i'm not carefull) - Thanks Dave! - now all I need to do is mod some wiper arms to fit (the wipers are riveted on to the arms at present??), add a new oil seal to the 4 speed gearbox output (part numbers anyone?) and replace the rear axle bearings! Then Yellow will be ready for the MOT and another few years of happy Jagoing - sell her - no chance - TREASON!!!!
Also have a 96 Diesel mondeo looking for a new home, 127k and just put a cam belt and pulleys in, towbar fitted and very little smoke - bargain at £650

Mark....please check your 'mail, there's a report on one of the local shows I've put in for Transmissions. You'll have to copy and paste though. I think you'll like it...I'm trying to get sponcership from Auto Glym at the moment...once people have read it, I think you'll know why

not sure what its for, think it could be an early transit - plastic bottle at a very sharp angle, girling with allmost exact flange, same centres but much heavier, same bore but different seal config, but dual circuit with pipes on opposite sides and shorter in length. Also the shoulder through the pedal box is much shorter, so a new pushrod fabricated to suit (complete with mod!) The pushrod is also kept in place by a nylon split washer rather than a circlip.
Must say though, even though the old cylinder was on the way out I will have to be more carefull now as the wheels lock up very easily.

i'm looking for a new motor at the minute dave, but i dont want to go to the other side of the country in the jago to look at one.
regards the box oil seal, nearly all seals have sae numbers on them, these relate to the dimensions of the seal, ie 402007, 40mm od, 20mm shaft, 7mm wide seal, bsl have branches up and down so do atlantic, sure these guys 'll sell you one, cheaper than ford.

Funnily enough V8....I've just posted on the new site the importance of 'Transmissions' to the JOC. I've always said, and I'm repeating myself once again, we must not lose sight of the fact that not all members are on-line, and without 'Trans' ' those members will be wondering what on earth's going on and what direction the club is going in.
Without writing it out all over again, please check out my 'Exeter Show' posting over on the new site

http://jagoownersclub.proboards56.com/index.cgi

you'll find it under 'Out and About' section / 'Shows' I think or hope anyone who reads it will find the enthusiasm of those we met at the show really up-lifting. To get two of the committee members travelling the distance they had to do just goes to show their dedication to the JOC and their committee positions. I was really surprised at the number of people who came up and introduced themselves to us. Non members who own Jago's, where introduced to the club by Swizz and he was often to be seen swapping names, numbers, e-mail addresses etc., Tonka and myself trying to peruade one JOC member to go and buy a computer so he could keep up with what's going on and to join in the 'fun' etc.

I know perfectly well what you mean about thumb twiddling! At the moment all we can do is keep that first finger firmly on the mouse wheel

I was walking out the front door in a rush to go to work when i tripped up over something and landed on the corner of the step. I put both my arms out to save myself and i must of landed awkward, resulting in me breaking both my arms. When i finally managed to get up i saw the latest transmissions on the floor, but the only problem now is that as both my arms are in plaster i cannot turn the pages to read the mag that i have been waiting for!! gutted.
