Jago Samurai Soft Top
Discussion
Hi all,
I am all very new to this but I was wondering if someone could help me. I have recently been 'doing up' an old Samurai (am going to post some pictures soon). It came complete with doors, front roof sections, T-bar and the rear roof section and rear window was a hard top. However, I didn't want this on all the time, but conversly it would be handy to be able to have a roof that could be put up quickly and easily. I have seen a few pictures of Samurai's with soft tops on the back section that come up and meet the T-Bar.
My question is does anyone know if these are custom made or whether there is some obscure source from which they can be purchased? Does anyone have one for sale? Or can anyone suggest any places that could make one?
Cheers,
Matt (Westy_Boy) Westmacott.

welcome to the world of Jago's westy boy.
you may do better by getting across to the actual Jago Owners Club web-site where you'll find out all about joining the Owners Club, finding out more about Jago history...etc., etc., and posting your 'needs' on there.

see you on the 'other side'

The soft tops were originaly made by jago automitive, your best bet now it to go to a boat builders/ trimers and get them to make one up for you.
the jago item had two hoops and hindged where the back of the t-bar meets the body. one hood goes to about 45degrees and the other butts up against the back of the t-bar. there were two little brackets that hinged up to locate the hoop to the t-bat.
the sides of the soft top were poppered on and the back was located by being wrapped around a tube that was bolted at the ends
hope thats of some help G
this pic shows the soft top folded down

HI Matt
Just seen your post. I have a complete soft top for a Samurai - IT has a roll bar rather than a T section in the middle. I say have -actually just about to pick up would be more accurate. I'm conversely am looking for a complete hard top for mine. I'll try and post a picture if you are interested in it or would like to see if its possible to swap over - I too am only just starting out.
Cheers
