My Jago has just failed it's MOT due to "interaction" between the rear side lights and the indicators i.e. the side lights dim slightly when the indicator flashes.

Anyone help?

Sounds like the usual problem with most vehicles electrics. The earthing of the lights is most likely at fault. There are loads of tin boxes out there driving around with the same fault.
So what is happening is the lights are using each other to make the circuit.
Take the lenses off and have a good look at the bulb holders and the earth wire/s. Chase any earth wires back and make sure they are going to a nice shiny bit of chassis. Clean up the bulb holders and the bulbs metal work. Any corrosion will reduce the flow of electric.
Also check all earth leads in the engine bay are good and feeding to the negative terminal of the battery

you could try checking you have the right bulbs in the indicator sockets, making sure they are the double filimented type ??

Pardon???
Usually the stop/tail bulbs have two filaments (21 and 6w) whereas the indicators are 21w singles.
Cheers

Correct the indicator bulbs are a single filament bulb with a 21watt rating.

I also have had this problem, and found this to be a fualt within the Hazard Warning switch, this occured after my local garage in all its wisdom connected the hazard circuit straight through the normal inicator circuit. i am currently trying to find a new hazard switch
