I just thought the more this is circulated the better the chance of recovery. I wonder what the thieves intend doing with it?

Yep, good end to the story. £2k for the kid is a windfall for him.
Did anyone else think a £2k reward for a car valued at £300k but “irreplaceable” to the owner was a bit low though? If I was in that position and the car really meant that much to me I’d be offering a lot more than £2k to try and persuade somebody to snitch.
Or is that just me?

Police recovered the vehicle from a shed, but no mention of any arrests!

Alternatively, it is possible they are just normal human beings and not PH Directors, and their car has massively increased in value during their ownership due to market forces but with no associated increase in household income to allow them to wave 30-large around... The vehicle equivalent of the single old dear living in the increasingly run-down 5-bed house that ends up for sale as a 'Probate Sale for full refurb'.

I'd have no trouble finding 10% of the value of my car (probably down the back of the sofa) but that's more of a reflection of the value of my car rather than a huge stash of readies! I thought similar until my friends TR3a was stolen less than a week after he bought it. I never even got to see it.
