McLaren F1 story

Just heard that Larry Ellison of Oracle owns a McLaren F1, here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ellison had shipped in a Mechanic from McLaren to work on his F1.
One late night the police caught the mechanic,
driving the F1 at 185 MPH (300kph) on the highway,
The Mechanic is no longer in service of Mr. Ellison

Don't see the problem 185 is not exactly ragging a Macca, perhaps he was clearing the engines throat as part of the service .

if i remember correctly Ellison bought one when they first came out. i remember seeing a photograph of him posiing with outside outside a restaurant in London.


Ellison is the CEO of Oracle. And is quite wealthy.

He was reported trying to buy a decommisioned F14 to that he could strafe Microsoft head quarters.
