Price for RR convertible emerges
That'll be £214,000 to you sir!
At the Detroit car show this week, Rolls Royce confirmed that it will put the 100EX (Phantom convertible) into production for the 2007 model year, and that it will be powered by the same V12 as in the saloon car, not the V16 as in the concept car -- see link below for original story.
Prices were being talked about for the first time however, and over £214,000 ($400,000) is the number being talked about at the Rolls Royce booth. This compares to £176,000 ($329,000) for the saloon version -- you could buy seven Vauxhall Corsas for the difference.

Clearly the above figures may be accurate ball park figures of what the market will be charged in the US. However, I wouldn't rely on using current exchange rates to get the £'s price we'll be expected to pay in the UK.
The figues above show the convertible having a 21.58% premium over the saloon car. With the current UK list price the saloon being £254k (glass guide Dec 04), I'd expect the convertible to be priced at about £309k.

Frankly, if I had the money, I would buy one, no matter the cost. I think it's ugly in an incredibly beautiful way. So what if the company isn't English any more, the brand will always remain the same.
It's 2 fingers to the rest of the world that thinks they can make quality motors that end up looking like over priced versions of their base models, without any style or class. Remember, you can't buy class.
