Interesting snippet from Road and Track which reports that Ferrari are preparing a $485,000 race car for presentation to Pope John Paul II in recognition of 26 years as head of the catholic church.

I hope to he never drives it....

He was a keen driver in his day, I think he stopped driving in 1979, his last car was a MK2 Escort 1.6 Ghia 4 door. It fetched silly money at auction, imagine owning the Popes Escort.
