Nice to see another quality product from MG and for taking the plunge to go to Le Mans. What are other British sportscar firms scared of!

This is all very well but when are we actually going to see these hot road version then?!? All I've seen is computer generated images or mock ups and no actual cars. Am I missing something...?!?

The cars do exist. Our bodyshop is building the rally cars from bare shells and our composites man is making a lot of the panels for the homogulation cars. Clive Reed Zertec Limited info@zertec.co.uk www.zertec.co.uk

Hmm, well the extreeme is all very well, but as its a one off not particularly exciting. However word is that there will be a new range of MGF's soon, with (lots) more power updated styling and coil suspension.... We will have to wait and see, quite concievable that you could drop a 200bhp lump in the f, then you'd ahve a car with some serious potential... Only question is can they sort out the driving position?

Its great to see such a stunning piece of kit from a company, which, just over a year ago looked like it was about to die. Long may Rover and MG continue, especially if they make cars like the new MG series.

Indeed well done MG, I have had about 5 of them in the past, MGA's, Twin Cam, MGCGT, ZB etc. but... wasn't the Le Mans entry pretty well a Lola? Rich

Yes - but how Bentley was the Bentley, if you see what I mean (Audi engine, car made by specialist in Norfork). Let's face it the cars are really just moving marketing hoardings. Don't believe the "racing technology for the road car use" bull****. Good stuff all the same. However first in class is quite easy if you are only in class!

Nice to see MG making an effoft I think they are making extremly hard desisions on the way forward and I think they are turning out to be the right ones. The new spors salloons are stunningly good and I think that if MG were to make an updated MGF with styling along the lines of the X Power one it would go down very well. Well done MG

totally agree....nice to see that the people who have taken over Rover seem to read the sames mags as the rest of us and have similar interests! I think that looks great....

Why base it on an MGF?! wouldn't the lola chasis have been a more sensible start for a supercar - afterall its only a concept, so it probably wouldn't have to be road legal. Also, to me atleast something based around the le mans car would have much more impact than [what looks like] an MGF with a big engine uh?

Yes it's exciting, but what's the point if people can't buy it! And that's the bottom line.

Isn't that the point, make it look (a bit) like an MGF and thereby raise the profile of the normal hairdryer cars?

If it's all the same I'd rather not have a car built like the MG Metro / Maestro / Montego
