Carbon dioxide emissions fall again

The latest SMMT CO2 report shows a continued downward trend in carbon dioxide emissions from new cars.

The 2004 data shows another year-on-year reduction, with a total 9.7 per cent drop from 1997 levels, and the largest decline has come from MPVs and 4x4s, down 19.4 and 14.6 per cent in eight years respectively.

You have to wonder if the same can be said for buses...
