Honda to replace NSX
The NSX is dead -- long live the NSX
Honda has announced that the NSX will live again -- in the shape of a brand new version. It will be "an NSX for a new era" and will sport V10 power.
In production since 1990, Honda's internal plans for a successor have included the HSC concept shown at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show. At one point, Honda even let slip that it would build the NSX successor out of the HSC by 2005, although this came to nothing.
Now Honda's president Takeo Fukui has announced plans for a new NSX that's due around 2008-09. In a recent speech outlining Honda's plans for the next three years, he said: "We are now focused on the development of a new model to succeed the NSX for a new era. We would like to debut a new super sports car equipped with a V10 engine in three to four years. Please look forward to seeing the NSX successor."
Bland it with the HSC and'll be luvly.
V10 S5000 engine with 600 horsies?
or . . .
Guess not . . .
Noticed it at the Ring. The Ringtaxi made a Massey Ferguson noise, but I could resist asking if it was indeed a diesel (thank god, would have made me look really stupid
). I like the edgy look of the white NSX shown above. Never liked the old NSX. Was a car in which I ever only saw elderly people! That's not what you want to see in a supercar.

Lets hope they get rid of their two rubbish F1 drivers and get decent ones so they can put their stamp on the new NSX.
You are joking right? I agree with you on Sato however Button has done a lot for Honda
He has done a lot for honda (in the last couple of years), but that dosent mean he's a good driver.

A V10?
Why?
(it makes for a long engine rather than wide - and the noise is poo IMHO)
So about the NSX, dave; float yer boat?
Because the Lexus Supra will have a 500bhp V10 (if you believe the hype).
apparently its now a tweaked Lexus V8 (also 500hp). Makes sense if you think that the JGTC Supras use a 4.5 (used to be 5.3) liter V8.
. I'm having one - even if it means not changing the S2000 for another four years (life is hard
). Rich
