At last.
Across the top of the centre consol or even better on the steering wheel I'd like some cruise control buttons.
2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 & 155
At least this way I can concentrate on my phone conversations, cross words puzzles, aircon, stereo etc.
This will save childrens lives and stop people like myself being refered to in the same sentance as paedaphiles and speeders.

Wonderful stuff - the free state of Germany indeed!
You know, with all this talk of nonce-friendly speed control, wouldn't you think somebody would pipe up, violently, about the slight differential in braking ability, say, between your 996TT and a Morris Minor?
This links back to a previous rant I made about Ferruccio Lamborghini's vision of his cars being used by industrialists as comfortable but very fast, cross continental conveyances.
Surely it's the mark of a society in veritable decline if it can't generally accept the concept of and thus physically accommodate faster and faster means of transport, including cars?
I find it reprehensible that in this day and age, I cannot take the Beetle by the scruff of it's blackened tail pipes and spear it down to Domster's at 200mph, both legally and safely, or go and visit Pinkey 'oop North' for a couple of pints of Duckhams.
In short, SPEED IS GOOD; it is actually an end in itself and rather than pussyfoot around the gaypole tree we inheritors of our glorious forefathers' titanic historic struggles should be bravely ambracing the challenges of travelling further and further, faster and faster.
70mph? Pah! BUILD MORE ROADS, YOU GOONS - BIGGER, SMOOTHER, UNDERGROUND, OVERGROUND - I don't care how much, just do it!

Hi DeR.
Agreed on the turbos braking, 100-0 in 4.2 seconds. Ninja Eli will confirm that they are most effective. To the point of having to look behind you before you stamp em!
This issue more than tax will probably be the reason I emigrate. Sad but true.
I had a similar rant earlier today about the government and civil services apparent blindness to building new roads. All of this hypr about £146m on improving junctions is merely p-ssing in the wind. Less than 0.1% of the money fleeced from motorists for the governments greater waste.
Talking of travelling down to Domsters are we ever going to see you attending a meet down sarf!
cheers

If I survive the winter without coronary or embellism, given the never ending tirade of societal mollycoddling c/o the bureaucracy without end, then I truly hope to make it to one of the outings commensurate with a modicum of sun and warmth.
Indeed, pouring over CarZee's bizzare subsite (I really don't understand the whole IT thing), there are some great photos of a couple of PH meets.
Guess I'll have to make do with whippets and cobbles.
Bugger.
Ok, home time. Catch you on the morrow.
(BTW - your Porker sounds ze borrocks!)
