Is this new fangled X5 Parking Assistant needed simply because the rear and side windows of all X5's are tinted to the point of opacity?

Also, it may be clever enough to get your car into a tight space, but what I want to know is whether it can get you out again?

Those that need it might find themselves marooned between 2 sensibly parked cars forever - or worse, barge madly backwards and forwards until the surrounding cars are turned to pulp in an attempt to 'escape'

Who knows...

I thought this was a particularly well written article by Ian. Do we want to read of his work in future?

I thought I posted something earlier, but it seems to have dissappeared. Oh well, try again:

Very good article. Enjoyed it a lot. Would like to see more. Had a browse of the author's website, and I hope he enjoys the feedback on his work.

Nice article but we should appose parking assist. It will only encourage the numpties to have a go at driving.
Cars are too easy to drive these days. Automatic, power steering; it all makes the inept think that they can drive. Then they will agree with draconian traffic laws because they can't handle the heat.
Bring back the manual spark advance and hand crank I say.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, everybody. As long as PetrolTed can supply the space, there will, rest assured, be more to come...

Cheers,
