It isn't as hard edged as the RX-7, that's for sure. Hope it can give the 3 series a run for their money...

for sub 20k i think its alright

when you think thats the same money as a C180 merc I would be half tempted by one as a daily workmobile.

Anybody know CO2 figures, considering as company car

Judging on previous wankel engines, pretty high I'd guess...

Like it. Unfortunately my company car's not due for replacement for over a year. A new job required methinks !

I've just been reading the Mazda blurb on the new engine, and it's now side ported. This surely means that multiple-rotor configurations will become more difficult? Seems a little restrictive.

I've ordered one - it took some doing, I went to my dealer over a year ago and they wouldn't take a deposit. Then Mazda said they would take deposits at the motor show, but when I got there they wouldn't. The dealer finally accepted a deposit just before the New Year. August delivery.
I don't think it's shipping in Japan yet. I was there last week and didn't see any. The Japanese magazines had lots of pictures of them but as I can't read them I don't know if they were saying 'coming soon'.

Has anyone else ordered one? What delivery dates?

The side porting, because it solves the problem of exhaust gas dilution, both dramatically improves the power and reduces emissions. It was the only way they could've continued to sell the rotary.

Multiple-rotor versions shouldn't be much more difficult than with the peripheral exhaust, remember the intake ports were on the side housings already in the old design.
