I think you could be right. I have worked with him on TopGear and he keeps his helmet on, but looking at pictures of Perry he has the same age/size/look as (one of) the stig(s).

there is more than one stig, the one that drove the radical on topgear wasn't the main stig.
the main stig was asked if he could test the car when he was available, a few days later he did and took another 3secs off the time the first one did, shame that one wasn't televised it must have been awesome !!

As I've said previously, I'm sure there are many Stigs. At the recent Birmingham Motorshow I visited the Noble stand and Alan Wallace told me to watch the forthcoming Top Gear as I'd see him hooning the M12 GTO round the track. I duly watched and the only person hooning the M12 round on that programme was The Stig. QED.

Yeah, Cheers Benno, old relative to a boy maybe, it's that kind of mentality that fuels age discrimination in the job market.

"McCarthy in good car shock"?
To my certain knowledge he's raced for the Audi works team a few times in the R8R, R8C and most recently the Bently, previously Lotus, Panoz and a guest appearane for HR Owen in Tuscan challenge to name but a few. Also holds record for shortest F1 debut in the Andrea Moda - 100 yards engine expired in pit lane. Best McCarthy quote: whilst driving for Andrea Moda at Canadian GP, team sent him to pick up V.I.P's from airport due to severe cash shortage, upon meeting his passengers in the airport they asked would he be watching the race, he replied "I'm in it, I'm the driver" really passenger replies - do many drivers have to do this "yeah, all of them - look (points to bloke with moustache) that's Nigel Mansell over there". Unfortunately cars showed up for race, engines forgot to come.
Great driver - still never gets his round in though.

Mates of mine who engineered at Le Mans say he'd come in from a night stint - sit down with the mechanics, grab some food and chat about anything except the race! No ego - just a totally top bloke . ..

PS Anyone see Jenson Button on RI:SE? Is he desperate?!
