Citroen C3 Recall
Water in the works may cause fires
Discussion
They don't "look a bit funny". I think they're the cutest supermini on the market. The wierd thing about them is that they look about twice the size they actually are...
...spooky.
It's ironic that Citroen, of all companies, should suffer issues with hydraulics. They virtually invented them. OTOH I dont think i've ever travelled in a waterproof french motor...
...Guess they can't quite shake off that "Gallic Charm".

You may be interested to know that my C3, registered in June 2002 is off the road at the moment because it has the very fault that Citroen said only affects cars registered after Sept. 15.!
It may be off the road for three weeks because of a lack of replacement parts.
You think the C3 is funny...........I am now driving a hired (at Citroens' expense!) Daewoo Matiz!
HELP!

I bought a new C3 October 2002... two weeks ago after not having been opened, started or moved the car burst into flames on the drive at 8AM Sunday morning... the car burnt out to a shell... lucky it wasn't in the garage... anyways Citroen UK got in touch and their response and attitude has been outstanding... a replacement car is on Order, a loan car was delivered next day and the drive is being repaired by Citroen - 10 out of 10 for effort!

To be honest if anything I'd bought had done that... I'm not sure I'd want another!

I would have moved my other car a bit closer and claimed for that as well!!!!
The whole recall was initiated after a very similar incident where the car was actually closer to the house and destroyed the facade as well.
Be warned the "recommended" Citroen "fix" at the moment is a PLASTIC BAG placed over the offending motor! I strongly suggest that you infact insist on the replacement of foresaid offending article with revised motor and not bag!
Sorry can't tell you how I know as would have to kill you
