RE: Your Car or your Partner?
Wednesday 12th February 2003
Ally McBeal and Bridget Jones would have us believe that all a woman needs to complete her life is a man, but a recent poll suggests that the modern woman would choose a car ahead of testosterone on a stick. The survey from motoring assistance provider, Green Flag, conducted in the run up to Valentine's Day found that given the choice, almost a third of female motorists would prefer to give up their partner than face life without wheels.
In contrast, men are more appreciative of their partners with only a quarter of men saying they'd plump for the motor over their partner if forced to make the choice.
Women however are slackers when it comes to polishing their pride and joy. Only 39 per cent of women said they wash their car once a week whilst 61% of men like to give it a good polish at least once a week.
Your Car or your Partner?
Women choose cars over men

bit bitter there Mike, not speaking from experience I hope
Ooooooh what a lot of negative vibes off this thread tonight boys
. Choose between my bloke and my car - no contest - but then I do drive a Nova
Not all girlies are gold diggers. My ex husband walked away with over half of the equity when we got divorced - but then I was earning more than him at the time. There are plenty of good girls out there fellas - you have just got to find one without the layers of veneer.

Wasn't speaking from personal experience, but I've watched a few of my friends and family members go through it... not a nice thing to see happen to someone you care about. I'm single and plan to stay that way - I don't need the stress or anything else that comes with "going steady"... the things I do need I can get while I am single

my wife knows better than to ask a silly question like that, the answer is obvious.
Now swap my boy for the car is a totally different thing, no way !!
My first statement just reflects the fight I had with my wife last night about losing her thrid mobile phone!!! She'll be back in the good books in a few days.
My sister says she loves her 330BMW more than her husband,....and I agree so do I

Excellent, glad we've got that *fact* straight. Must rush now, I need to get back to scheming how to defraud my man of everything he owns
