Opel GTC

New look for Vauxhall?

Vauxhalls and Opels of the future could get a distinctive new look to lift them out of the mediocrity currently enjoyed by the marque.

The Opel GTC concept is to be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show next month and has been used as test bed for GM's designers.

The car features a distinctive 'taut' look to it which gives a more sporty look to the car. The challenge for the designers now is to carry the ideas into mainstream design. Let's hope they succeed and that we can look forward to some stylish Vauxhalls in future.

Is it really a new look for Vauxhall or just a watered down globalised Caddy?

There are still hints of the Omega in it, so they have probably been planning a move in this direction since even before the Omega emerged six or seven years ago I'd guess.

Tidy though, and a whole lot more classy than pseudo americana could have turned out.

I must admit I quite like it, a fresh looking design that should transfer to mainstream products very well.

Lets hope the don't ruin it with nasty V badges/grills. Opel is a much better name...

That we call mediocrity by any other name is still as shite.

Captain Muffet, so sorry to spoil your day, but check out the AutoExpress website. It got a "V" grill!
And yes, I have got too much time on my hands if I am resorting to checking out that site.

Gets my vote.

Recent vauxhalls (hold on - what do I mean recent?) haven't really been worth a first glance, let alone a second.

I reckon this car might be!
