Road Rage Man Critical

Man almost killed in East End

A man is in a critical condition after becoming involved in a road rage incident in the East End of London.

The Asian man in his early forties had got out of his Toyota which to remonstrate with the driver of a Mercedes saloon. He attempted to open the door of the Mercedes but the driver drove off and the victim was caught under the wheels of the car, injuring him severely.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Idiot trying to open another persons car door though. Dunno who was originally in the wrong, but by doing that he was risking his life either way.

Serves him right, If someone tried to open my door, I'd drive off too. (Well I'd get out and confront them, but then I don't drive like a prat so would want to hear their grievence)

Too bloody right - you never know if they are concealing a baseball bat or something behind them.

If you are stupid enough to get out of your car to confront another road user over the level of their driving you deserve all that you get. Don't be a total w@nker stay in your car and curse them under your breath if you must to something other wise forget them and get on with your own driving.

Is this a joke? Are you seriously suggesting that the Toyota driver, who got out of his car to argue/talk with the Merc driver, really deserves to die for this? Is that really the price of a life in your world?

Fcuk me. Get a grip, people. It may be naive to get out of your car to have a go at someone else's driving, but no way should you deserve to die for it.

The Merc driver is probably sitting at work, sh!tting himself about the trouble he's in, when he may have just panicked and driven off when someone opened his door in the middle of the night in London. I wouldn't hang around, that's for sure. But I wouldn't want to kill someone for it!

A bit more info:

'Road rage' man critical

A man is critically ill in hospital after being run over in a suspected road-rage incident.
Police said the victim had got out of his car to argue with another motorist while stopped at traffic lights Stratford High Street in east London.

But when he attempted to open the passenger door of the other vehicle, a black four-door "new shape" Mercedes, the lights changed to green and the Mercedes drove away.

The victim, an Asian man in his early 40s, was caught under the wheels, and left injured at around 0100 GMT on Monday.

Witness appeal

His condition is described as critical but stable.

Police are appeal for witnesses to the incident at the junction with Rick Roberts Way.

The injured man was in a grey four-door Toyota car and had been driving in the bus lane, with the Mercedes in the middle lane.

Police also want to trace the driver of a silver Honda, which was in the right hand lane.

While he doesn't deserve to die, if you're going to put your life in danger by messing about in the road, then you just might have an accident.
