Nice idea though, maybe someone at Ford will read this and run with the idea...
...what about "Bodie and Doyle" style matching Crapis instead?
Mouse.
ps. I have to say that the bit about a german getting emotional was far fishier than the loose rack which is something Ford have specialised in since the year dot.
pps. I don't believe half of you twigged til you read the thread: ya liars!
ppps. Nice one Ted.

I am a day late but never mind....
Having attended a talk at the design musuem by J Mays I was very prepared to believe this story until I got to the part about the loosened steeering rack.
I must say nice as it is to be able to buy a GT40 (replica) I am not impressed by the man whose CV reads
reborn Beetle, reborn Thunderbird, reborn GT40, reborn Mustang.
Perhaps you just beat him to it this time.....

What a bunch of cynical doubters.
When a great motor manufacturer goes out on a limb to reject bloody gizmos and get back to basics, all you can do is sneer. Can't you see this might be the dawn of something great?
Castrol R, anti-tramp bars, rumbling bearings. God, you lot don't know what real life is.
Suppose you're all going to tell me TVR's are real cars next.
