I've seen one in Frankfurt yesterday and I don't like the looks of it. It's ugly...

Oh, it'll sell. The badge ensures that. Look at the Z3, ugly, not-very-sportscar-like to drive and they shifted thousands, mainly the wheezy 1.8 and 2.0 versions.

I followed a Belgian-registered drive down Regent St on Sunday. Initially, I thought it was an S2000 from behind. From the back / side it's not as bad as I'd expected from the pics, but it's a pig from the front.

I'd say passers-by divided their attention 30/70 between the Z4 and my Tuscan, whatever that indicates!

I saw one this morning on the Ewell bypass, Surrey. I thought it was an S2000 too, but I recognised the light cluster and caught up to find out it was a Z4.

Orangey colour on (I think) 52 plates. Not sure what that's about!? I think it has some nice design features (I like the back too and the angular style bars) and it is an improvement but it is very much a BMW still. Shame.

Nobody seemed to notice it at all. Make of that what you will…

I saw one yesterday, I'm just north of Chicago, and thought it looked dreadful.
A real caricature of a sports car. I'd rather have an MX5, but then I've never been swayed much by badges.
It's odd to see an interesting car around here though.

Saw one last year in South Africa. I knew what it was, but even so, it was still one of those, 'Oh my god what a nasty looking car!' experiences.

Have BMW pioneered a revolutionary production technique, which replaces hydraulic pressed body pannels with items which have been twatted into shape with the ugly stick?!

So are the press going to be given free holidays to review it, rave about it, vote it best in class and then when the next version comes out turn into turncoats a la z3?

Z4 = Yuuurrrcchhhhhhh
BMW's will always be middle mangement reg mobiles one peg above a Vectra and one peg below a Merc, all of which can be dumped into a big hole as far as I'm concerned!!!

I used to go on a lot of (telecoms) press trips. They stop having any effect after a while. You don't worry what you write because there is always another freebie from another manufacturer to come.
I don't hold with Clarkson's column in the last Sunday Times that reviewers are all buttered up by the manufacturers.

I don't like the Bangle styling but there is a lot good about BMWs. Still I think the ZM Coupe the most interesting of late.

I don't care what it looks like, what it goes like, how many they sell, what the 'press' say, or if they give them away!
I wouldn't cross the road to p*ss on one if it was on fire - IT'S STILL A BMW

Now I know why you call yourself blondemoment! I am the world's most courteous BMW driver and people like you are probably the ones that keep trying to have a go with me (not worth it for most - e46 M3).

There are lots of tossers who drive BMWs (I had to watch as a fake E30 M3 gunned it past me just off Oxford Street today), but plenty of us are decent chaps.

That wasn't my opinion - it was qualityscrew logging in as me by mistake. I've NO opinion on BMW's, so apologies for the mistake
