Mondeo Coupe

Just looking at the Auto Express weekly email - headline is the proposed Mondeo 'coupe'.

Looks like they're going for the same market as the Passat CC, but is it just me who thinks it looks like it started off as Jaguar's X-Type replacement? - there's definitely an XF influence in the styling.

Other than those funny chrome triangle bits in the front bumper, I really like it.

I like the rear haunches, though you can see the Jag lines in the sides.

Auto Express do rather have a habit of generating their own artist's impressions based on very little. I hope Ford really do something creative with the Mondeo, the X-Type has held it back so much.

That does look like one of Auto Express artist impressions, it looks very photoshopped.

So when it comes out it will look the same as the drab and slab sided current model, except with a slightly more slopey roof. Doubtless the majority will be running on comically undersized wheels as well

I think it looks nice and I never thought I'd say that about a ford.

Since they lost their status as the market segment leader, they've obviously had to start trying harder, which can only be a good thing.

Looks nice, but can a 4 door be a coupe?

Seems that liberty is being taken with the idea of a "coupe", be it a 4 door, or a hatchback.
