Paris '08: Citroen GT Concept

Stunning supercar concept from Citroen

After weeks of digital teasers Citroen took the wraps off its GT concept, a hydrogen-powered supercar with zero emissions. There was little information on the car but it has a theortetical 0-62mph of 3.6 seconds and a top speed in the region of 200mph.

The car is a two-seater but measures almost fivemetres long. It has been developed in partnership with Sony and will be available in the Gran Turisimo computer game.

From the exterior, it looks wicked. Well done Citroen. I agree about the copper dash though, not really sure about that. Would look better in carbon fibre or alcantara.

I like!

That looks really good. Will it ever make it to production? Seriously doubt it.

It is a radical concept designed to give citroen credibility by appearing in a computer game. If citroen build a decent 2 seat roadster with about a 2 litre engine that was fun to drive and had the citroen quirkiness, I'd have a lot more respect for them instead of wasting money on a project like this.

That would almost make me consider buying a Citroen.

Looks great from the front
Looks like a whale giving birth from the back.

Intreagued by the figures given hydrogen drive. Wonder what the range is. Realistically thats the only part we may see on a production car, apart from even more sculptured plastic on the C3.

I had something crawling up the side of my house that looked similar. Gave me the willies.

Even if it did make it into production the only people who are going to buy a French super car will be the French as they're very patriotic.
Imagine the conversation,
I've just ordered my new supercar
Oh really which one Lambo, Porsche?
No a Citroen
Oh!
On the plus side given Citroens discount policy it should be available from new for 99p and 0% finance!

p.s. front looks great rest is a bit rubbish!

Yep that actually looks fantastic, not just for a Citroen, but I think it looks slightly better than the new Lambo.

And because it is a Citroen, it will be available from your local dealer with a huge lump of cashback and be worth 20p in about a week

Yeah, they've gone a bit nuts on the back, and totally lost the plot with the interior, but otherwise, it's exterior is at least 90% nice.

At least kids get to play with it in Gran Tourismo.

I assume it doesn't come with a reverse gear? Looking at the rear of it it looks impossible to reverse, so parking would a "challenge" at the very least.

Completely Bonkers and just so... French

Citroen just go ahead and build the damn thing, well the front half anyway.

Can't see any justification for a copper dash other than to make the car more "outre".
