Trebling of Fuel Duty???

Did I hear right on the news this morning. Was half asleep at the time, but someone somewhere is proposing that fuel duty is trebled as a 'gren tax'. This just makes my blood boil!!!

Yes you did here right, some Govt. sponsored 'Green' think-tank quango, and they also recommended a £3000 green tax on new cars, which would pressumably gain back the money the same Govt has just 'given' out as the scrappage scheme to encourage people to buy a new car.....
