Dear all,

I have come accross some fantastic wheels and am finally considering changing my 18" spiders as, although I love how they look I am sick of the weight banging on bumps but also would like to go lighter for all the benefits.

So to all you sage cerbera owners - will (4 x) 18", 8.5" Wide, 100x5 PCD, ET35, Centre bore 56 fit? - or better question - can they be made to fit as I understand the Cerb requires a 71.5mm bore? I am aware the centre bore is too small on these wheels but understand it may be machined - it this correct? Is this too large a difference for machining (half the bore difference gives 7.75mm off)? What about the offset as I understand the existing wheels were not ideal looking at posts on the forum and my understnding is almost there, but not quite. I know many say that a 8" width would be preferable at the front to aviod the stretched look but am willing to modify bump stops if required r.e. lock but really want to continue with the Yokohama AD08R's (I see AD08RS now also). I previously went up a profile to 40 on these at the front in 235's (if memory serves) as could not find 35.

Other points - i do currently get some front rubbing (only very occasionally however and tolerable) with AD08R's.

Any advice gratefully received before I pull the trigger. The bore difference is my main concern but I understand the offsets may be an issue also.

PCD is wrong.. Cerbs run 114.3x5

Offset and width would work.

Centre bore is wrong, would need to be machined out.

I'm guessing the wheels are keenly priced?
How about SP12's for the lightness, although they are around £800

Thanks Jhonno - confusing PCD with hub centre bore here I think. PCD being the diameter of a circle drawn through the bolt holes. Unfortunately the wheels I really like have 100 x 5 rather than the Cerbera's 114 x 5 so I believe this means these cannot fit nor be made to fit. Is that correct?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge here - learning about this now as have never changed wheels previously.

Yes, unfortunately, short of redrilling your hubs, 5x100 won't fit.

Sometimes nice to be a bit different to the usual Spider/RL7/SP12's

Was thinking about making a cheeky offer on these dymags - VERY light! Sadly not to be. Would have probably painted the spokes darker...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STI-...

I might see if Dymag have any old sets of wheels lying around as not far from me in Chippenham.

Anyway the search continues for better ride and handling. Might have my Nitrons serviced as it has been roughly the recommended 18,000 mile service interval since they were fitted now and this might help.

That is a shame.. They would have been good!

I would have been smiling like a Cheshire cat! That got the cream. And some salmon. And found out my millionaire owner had died and bequeathed everything to me...

Thank you for your help.

Excuse my poor attempt at "showing them up" to the car(or at least another car the same colour as mine)...
