On ebay 153684795607, I take it this is Ash's old car?

Plenty of threads on here about it, especially the engine build.
I wonder what happened to that

I quite like the rear end. Body kit drapes too low for my liking otherwise and I wonder how you get in if the battery goes flat though!

Hugely admire the skills though.

For £7500 minimum or thereabouts What do you get?

You get a modified Cerbera body which is ugly and a huge backward step in style from the original car.

You get a used 20 yea old Cerbera chassis and running gear.

You get a dusty Cerb interior.

What’s not to like? wink

It's a shame Ash isn't around any more .. other than the front rad intake I think the rest looks quite good and it would have been great to have seen this finished. Love it or hate it, it was certainly a way-out-there project at the time, and no-one (other than A1RAK) has managed to get anything even remotely close (engine-wise) up and working.
Abandoned projects like this are a great loss I think.

This will be ideal for someone wanting a dabble at saloon racing, body preparation can cost a small fortune yet this is already nicely done

When I started looking for a Cerb, 15 years ago, I asked my first tentative questions on this forum and Ash was the first to reply to my naive blunders - Top Man !

I then felt his pain as he received an absolute torrent of abuse from every corner of this forum's contributors as he attempted to
do something different

An absolute shame !!

I think the one to look for there as inspiration is Mike's (Itsallyellow). His car has been developed on the track.

From memory this was being kept at Austec.

Worth checking the seller is the owner and all that .. although I see it's not Paul Austin
which is probably a good thing.

I think it still looks pretty good.

Stuffing an LS7 in there would not be all that hard.

Yes it would be interesting to see the number of names on the V5 ... there was a thread on here a few years ago of someone who had "lost" a rare bmw race car .. wonder how that ended ?
