You mentioned a relay above the passengers knee, the other day.

On my car, it goes out to my electric power steering. Strangely, it fires for a few seconds, when I turn the ignition on.

I’ve always presumed it’s the fuel pump I can hear priming on ignition, but if it is, I certainly wouldn’t hear it over what sounds like the power steering pump.

The 1 I've found looks like this. When I remove it the fuel pump still primes.

Different I think then. The one in my car, has Two big cables in. Basically the same diameter as the cable that feeds the rear fuse box.

One of them comes from the battery, and one out to the power steering. I presume it’s an addition for my electric power steering modification.

The fuel pump feed from the ECU is used to activate the relay for the PAS pump, so the pas is active all the time the fuel pump is running.

Thanks. I thought that was something else I was going to be attempting to fix smile

Wonder why the pump wasn't wired to run when oil pressure was up or alternator had cut-in ?

I wired my PAS pump to come on with first press of the ignition, means you can move the car round easily without having to dig out the keys.
