That front corner does not look good from where I'm sitting.

Hmmm... Hard to tell from the pictures.

The bottom one looks ok, with the odd little bit of surface rust from stone chips. The top pic, not so sure..

A some point, it looks as though someone has come along with the black Waxoil and simply run it down the sills (hence the even black lines on the outrigger). What would really count is what's underneath. You need to get under with your fingers (and preferably a key/screwdriver) to give it a poke. You also want to ideally get to the top side of the tubing (between the fibreglass and chassis tubes) as that's where the crud gathers and that's where it will rot through. This is what mine looked like:

...and watch out for the areas around the manifolds:

That said, pretty much anything chassis wise is fixable, it just takes time & money.

Looks like someone has been over it with spray red oxide and spray black.
And what's with the white paint on everything? (well everything easy to get to anyway .. they haven't managed to paint the undersides of the tubes ..) and the fine misting of overspray everywhere?

It's not just the chassis corners that looks bad in those pics, look harder and you can see other issues which would make me want to get it properly inspected.

In my opinion if you can see flaking powder coat with rust underneath, whether it has been painted over or not, chassis work will be needed. So depends on the deal you can negotiate if the car is worth buying as is.

just factor in a chassis refurb, that will be required either now or in the near future.

If you look carefully at those lower wishbones you can see they have some surface pitting

I thought I could get some more life out of similar wishbones by blasting and powder coating, and I did

But when I took them off a year or two later they were banana shaped, and distorted by braking forces

I factored in a chassis refurb when i bought mine 10 years ago because although the chassis was solid it didn't have much powder coat left. 10 years later and I am still waiting for it to deteriorate and need doing. It still looks the same, probably because I make sure it is always put in the garage dry and the previous owner also always kept it garaged. Having spent many years fixing sills, corners and floor pans on 'classic' cars I don't realty see why anyone worries about a few bits of tube.

I suspect the car needs viewing in the flesh.
