There is a famous adage that goes....

Well, here I am again, at rebuild time, and I find that I've lost the Retaining Clip from my Water Temperature sensor plug.

Any idea if these can be sourced from anywhere ?

Ta !

I found I was missing clips on some of my injectors after my engine was reinstalled so had to buy the pugs to get the clips.

This was where I got them, but I'm away from home currently so don't have the exact part, although this looks close

It is a Junior Power/Timer connector, they are extremely commonly used on sensors and fuel injectors. A whole connector is cheap, but if you can find a bit of spring steel wires it would be easy enough to make a clip (I have a bag of glazing clips from a greenhouse I use to make stuff like this).

And Paul, do satisfy yourself completely that the missing clip hasn't ended up somewhere unwelcome and expensive... wink

Guys,

Many, many thanks for all your suggestions.

Gordon: I have tried so long to use RS for parts BUT the English side don't ship or allow payments from abroad and the Lux side want a Belgian VAT No. and address to ship to.

Dave: Thanks for recommending EFI. Don't remember using them before BUT the delivery costs, with them, are 300% more than the cost of the products.

LimSlip: Thanks for the suggestion. I will visit the Garden Centre and see what's around.
OOps, just realised that you included an accurate description of what they are - The World is open to me now thumbupthumbupthumbupthumbup

Hi Rik: Thank for that - always good advice - BUT have looked everywhere so the only other option is to strip the heads to ensure that it has not burrowed its way in !

Thanks all, for every suggestion. thumbup

Looks like the Gaffer Tape is coming out again until my next visit to the UK banghead

Even though I brushed that warning off with rather a flippant comment, it set worries off in my mind.

Luckily though, I'd taken a zillion photos as I went through the job and I've just found one which shows that the clip was gone before I started - Phew !

(thanks, once again, for putting the doubt in my mind thumbup - No, really !!)
