There was a recall done in 2001 due to the risk of the uprights cracking, with corrosion affected ones replaced with the Motoclan pictured version or a cover plate PU glued to the back of non-corroded original ones.

I would expect them to have the casting number and date stamp on them (there are combinations of straight and curved top wishbone that is important too). Motaclan info on each uprights sort of explains it. The stikaflex sealant is there to stop water sitting in and around the bottom ball joint (it is everywhere). I have stripped down a lot of front uprights recently (they list as MK1 to MK4 versions in the parts list across the T car range) and the noticeable thing for me, is, there is loctite everywhere and the front bearing bolt using a 1/2 UNF Phillidas nut and loctite (I presume that someone thought that there may be heat transfer from the bearing and that the nylon may be affected). Yes, everything should bolt up the same to the equivalent version.

The one in your pic is the early (pre '02) short top wishbone balljoint mount position with the adapter block for the pre Sep '00 AP CP5200 brake caliper. Later ones have a mix of different brake caliper mounts and the later top balljoint position which is c.20mm towards the outer face.
