I'm having problems ordering my pads. I'm after the Ferodo DS 2500 for front and back. The car is a 1997 with AP brakes, not drilled discs. Does anyone know the part number to the calipers front and back or the specific part no. of the pads? I keep getting told that there were so many variations, probably true, but am looking for a shortcut rather than drawing around the pads and faxing that through! 
Jonnythe no on my calipers is5200,again my pad tracing referances too mdb1292,i am looking for a set of pads for track days,but also every day road work,97 4.2 solid all steel disks
dose any one know the min disk thickness f& rear also max drumb dia also what donor car are they off if any as i havnt found a manifacturer listing them yet.

You are in the same circle that I've been. It appears that they were an AP special that doesn't seem to be on the AP web site, I don't know if you can get them anymore? I will probably upgrade to a drilled disc with the same calipers, or buy a new kit. Pricey though.
Pad wise I have Mintex which are good but squeel a bit and do take a few pushes to warm up on the road. I did 125 miles on a track day last week at Goodwood apparently at sub 90 second laps, braking from circa 150, and they seem fine, very little wear and no scoring and of course no fade. They were new on the car when I bought it some 6 months ago.

try a google search for something like TVR upgrades and see what it throws up
shoud give you some choices..
how much larger? ur profile pic shows 16inch wheels, so yuo're on the 4.2 caliper? if so don't go higher than 304mm diameter ... you can get away with machining teh caliper a small amount to go up on that size, but isn't a good way of doing it .. I've done two cars but got the customers to sign disclaimer forms saying they insisted on having it done ..
if you want to go larger (up to 330mm) and have 17 inch wheels or bigger go for the 4.5 caliper.

Hi Joo, you are right I only have the 16's, and the disc size is 304, off memory. I was going to replace the pads asap with ferodo 2500 front and back, can you tell me what serial numbers I should be using, and roughly how much I should be paying. Sorry if this a bit like an information hotline and not good mechanical serious stuff.
