Today my good friend, whatever, allowed me the privelige of trying his mean green hooning machine - a stunning 4.5 Cerbera.
It was misty moisty and I had previously got the rear wheels of my Boxster S whizzing on the slimy road conditions around my town on the way over to his abode. So - although there could be no indiscrimiate whacking of the accelerator - I had a chance to appreciate what, to you chaps, is an everyday occurrence but, to me, was a very special and different experience indeed.
My impressions:
Wow. I didn't expect any TVR to be this smooth, this good. The clutch was light, the brakes direct, the steering pointy but firm, the gearshift was direct and light. A brilliant car to drive. Easy to control and far easier than I thought it would be to get a smooth drive - it flattered the driver so much more than I thought it would. The pedals are perfectly placed.
Our Chimaera is agricultural in comparison.
What a car!
It is clearly ballistic in its performance, although I couldn't really try that today.

Ooooh. That is so, so difficult. They're different cars and each utterly brilliant in its own way.
I'll think carefully about it and post again.
All I can say is that if you own one - you must love it. Very impressive. Much more so than other TVRs I've driven.
Interesting opinion, one that is very similar to mine. I find the Cerbera to be alot more friendly than people make them out to be, terrifying in a "im entering a wet tree lined corner at 60 with half a turn of lock on" way, but its always quite happy to be gathered up with a little more lock.
They seem to be pretty progressive (in the wet atleast) - absolutely love it. I need to do a few more trackdays in dads one, I need another fix
