i asked my local dealer 2 months ago to give me an estimate delivery on a 2+2 spec Typhon before i put a deposit down. My cerb has been in for clutch work since then and thay havent been able to get an answer from blackpool.

Do they want to sell new cars?

Anyone else had problems

I think what Ted was tryin to say is...with tongue in cheek...that they are due off the production line any day now!

Since the purchase of TVR by "Mr Russia Ivorlottamoneyluv" it seems all 'new' projects including the Typhon and Sagaris, have been 'held-over' until they meet with the aforementioned persons, "quality control". I personally couldnt see anything wrong with TVR's previous "quality control"!!

Byff cant explain why it took so long findinh PH....probably spent too long driving and ripping the arse out of 'fast car' freaks (porsche turbo, 355 etc)

Second that Satman, last week, i collected my
car from the Service Dept. There were no LESS than
thirty(plus)Speed 6 tuscan/cerbs all with blown motors. A sad reality. TVR do really need look at quality control issuses, sorry to sound negative,
but waiting for a car to be repaired for nearly
one year, i would imagine leaves a bitter
taste in any mouth. I do hope this new chap,
gets it together.

The original Tuscan R's were due off the production line about 3 years ago. So far to the best of my knowledge er.. 1 car has hit the road so far. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but am pretty sure of that.

Spoke about this with my dealer yesterday when picking up my Cerb after a service.

He confirmed that only one has been delivered - a T400R. They're having problems with cooling the supercharged Typhon. There have no information from the factory about delivery dates.

They have received their T2 demonstrator and expect a Sagaris demo in the new year. Perhaps once a few T2 and Sagaris have been delivered TVR will think about the Typhon again.

TVR have a big hole in their product range at the moment - no 2+2.

Saw a T400R (I think, basically looks like a Typhon) on the way back from Le Mans this year.

Typhon is simply a supercharged T400R.

The one you saw was grey?

Aaaaargh!!! But I've got £4k sat in the bank to pay for having that fitted to my Tusc. They'd better get it sorted quickly, or my delusions of Bond-dom/hankering for having a dancing donkey on the bonnet might take hold...

One (knowledgeable) source I have has suggested that by the time changes have been made to comply with the new emissions regulations, the supercharged S6 will have no more power than the current units.

I also heard rumours, through the dealer network, of TVR announcing a replacement for the Cerbera. However, that was nearly a year ago and I've nothing on this since. Even if such rumours were true then, I'm sure the new management has put any plans on hold for the moment.

The last time I saw that car at Le Mans, it had the imprint of a Porsche on the back end!

4k??? you're dreaming james... on a cast crankshaft? that speed 6 engine will need a LOT of work before it can handle a blower....

you're looking in the region of 15k for a proper blower installation and engine overhaul... to produce say around 600 horses
