please tell me what v-max is about
Discussion
Have a look at the Vmax forum on here also but basically:
Bruntingthorpe runway + Laser Speed Verification equipment = good fun!!
You have as many runs as you want around the circuit, including the 1.6 mile (??) straight. Every time you get to the end of the straight you pass the timing beam and get a Vmax top speed readout! Then go back and do it all again!
person to ask about prices and availability is craigw!

most of the facts have already been stated. its a good place for a great bunch of people to get together, enthuse & have fun with their respective exotica, settle some fun scores performance wise & use up some adrenaline in a safe environment free from the bib, cameras & big tyrewalls!

It's a PH trackday on an airfield, 30-40 cars (anything from 140bhp MR2's to 700bhp Brabus Mercs).
You line up in pairs (after a shakedown lap), unless people don't want to race you (I had this with BoxterS's). There is a 1/2 mile straight, then a slippery & bumpy 180deg corner, leading onto the main straight, then 1.7 miles of tarmac (with a speedtrap) then a 90deg right, short straigh, another 90deg right, last time had KennyP from Evo crounching near the Apex- I almost killed him, then a medium sized straight, then a set of left-right, left sweepers, then back into the waiting area, populated by fellow PHers, a burger van, and the start line, to do it again!
Average Vmax was 170 last time between most of the competitors. Lots of egos get shattered there too.
