Having slipstreamed a Radical down the straight at 140 mph, I made the mistake of following it in to Paddock Bend at Brands on Friday, had to lock up at circa 100 to avoid a heavy dumping in the gravel.
That ground effect stuff really does work! He went round and I didn't!
Car unmarked (had it in bits on Sunday to check it all out) but flat spots on the rear tyres, spun round 180 degrees so rears did most of the braking, going budump budump budump when I'm driving along.
What do I do?
1. Buy two new rears £400
2. Burn out, does this cure the flat spot, could break something else!?
3. Will they wear away to balance out the flat spot? Probably but about 2000 miles of budump budump!

Had a similar experience last year at Snetterton. Following Danny (I think) out at the start of a session, I managed to keep him in sight for a couple of laps and was feeling quite pleased with meself, on the third lap at the end of the main straight he *accelerated* into the corner and disappeared. Couple of laps later he was behind me again! Turns out he had been pootling around waiting for the oil temp to come up and then started driving it properly. Really brings home the difference between a road car, even a very fast road car, and a serious track car.

. I think the Radical also has an advantage with the tyres and lack of weight too!
