I've been following the message board for 12-18 months now, and have read with interest how to approach buying a Cerb, i.e. test drive a few, get it checked, search the history, talk to other Cerb owners.

Last week - promotion at work on Monday, arrive at Castle TVR on Saturday, test drive one car, put down a deposit - all that planning went straight out the window !

Looking forward to picking the car up in a week or so. Feels like I have got a great deal - a 2002 4.2 with 10k miles for £30k with warranty etc. The car is the nightfire red one on the Castle website if anyones interested. Would be great to hear from anyone who knows the car.

Great colour, like Rosso but without the hassel!

I work at Stansted, most of the time, maybe see you about!

Congrats.

Nightfire red? That's a Rover colour, isn't it? Should be fairly easy to match unlike "Rosso time-lapse pink", too.

Thanks for the invites/potential meets around Mid Essex, but I'm a Bedfordshire man (nr Ampthill), so doubt i'll be blasting around your neck of the woods too often...unless I need to take the cerb back to castles for some work (here's hoping not)

Then you'll be coming to the regular Leighton Buzzard meets then instead

Trooper,

When do you guys meet..?

BTW - just popped down to Halfords to get a Freeway seat for the eldest nipper - what do you know, a half price Xmas sale on Britax Freeway seats at my local branch - £45 seems like a bargain, now need to work out how to fit it properly on Saturday.!

Nice car, I was going up to have a look at that one over Xmas, but I got tied down in the house plumbing...

So I guess lucky you, not so lucky me... Now where is that 4.5 Im after?

Four days in and still smiling , although I'm finding the car somewhat stressful to drive compared to my 1.2 Clio...! Tried to get out of the car park at work on Monday... picture the following elements to my problem - a steep slope with a dodgy keypad barrier system; a cold 4.2 V8; a handbrake that ain't worth talking about and two days experience of driving a Cerbera. After three false starts I eventually roared up the ramp and smelt nothing but buning clutch accompanied by the beeping of the MIL light which had gone red.... although not as red as my face given the 2 or 3 people that were chuckling at my exit..!
