RideDrive Courses

I was wondering if anyone had done the RideDrive courses and could recommend either of the options they have available. I have been in touch with them this week and they seem to offer either a Advanced Handling Skills and Road Driving Experience (full day including an hour on an runway) at £335 or a half-day road only session for £135. Apparently these prices are an increase on last year as the company is now VAT registered, forced upon them due to successful 2004. If anyone has any feedback from either of these I would love to here it...or anywhere else they can recommend.
I want to do something as I am about to take charge of my Cerbera in the coming week.

Have done two half-day course, one in each of my Tivs and I'll highly recommend them, you'll be amazed how much you can pick up in just half a day and after spending it zooming around country lanes you have more than enough to contemplate for a while.

Both SGirl and myself had half day courses on the road. Excellent value for money, and very, very useful. Very entertaining too, and not at all prissy or prescriptive. Do it!

I did a RideDrive day last summer. Great fun and I learned a lot. I also discovered how much I've still got to learn so I might do another one this year. A lot of what you learn on the road can be applied whatever you are driving, though obviously it is easier to "make progress" in the Cerb.

The only thing I would change would be skipping the skid pan session. It's not in your own car and the pan was so greasy and small that you were always skidding; it was the transition between normal driving and skidding I was interested in experiencing.

I did the two day course. Went up from Berkshire to Leeds as they recommended the roads and it was cracking.

Day two was the best days driving I have ever had, drove all the B roads down to lincolnshire and back to Yorkshire..... and so if you can afford it - do it.

I am convinced that it has already saved me from totalling my Cerb.
